NoLo Nord di Loreto è il nuovo place-to-be della metropoli lombarda. Almeno così dicono delle recenti indagini giornalistiche (alcune piuttosto sommarie) che hanno portato alla luce nel 2016 il fenomeno di trasformazione di una sezione estesa della città. NoLo non è una costruzione mediatica: succede che in pochi mesi, nella stessa area, si insediano artisti e nuove attività, da piazzale Loreto, lungo tre raggi (via Ferrante Aporti, viale Monza e via Padova) fino al naviglio Martesana, il polmone verde della zona.
Ultimamente c’è molto da discutere su NoLo in città. Ad alcuni piacerebbe si propagasse il suo fascino sottovoce, forse per evitare la baldoria che è arrivata in altre zone gentrificate di Milano, dai Navigli all’Isola. Questa era un’area conosciuta solo per la multietnicità e per una certa dose di degrado. Ora sta diventando orgoglioso scrigno di idee e motivazioni che partono dal basso. Abbiamo fatto un giro in occasione della art night out più underground degli ultimi tempi, quella di Studi Festival e vi possiamo assicurare che il fermento c’è, l’aggregazione cresce, la creatività abbonda.

Trovo che sia meraviglioso che in una città con 2000 anni di storia, ci sia ancora spazio per far nascere spontaneamente nuovi nomi per i quartieri.
Questo non è un quartire creato a tavolino (vedi City Life, Porta Nuova, Adriano…) ma nasce da un’esperienza dal basso.
Forse tra qualche mese sarà già naufragato (spero di no!), ma è bello vedere che c’è ancora spazio per la creatività.
Come vada vada questi sono ottimi segnali di risveglio e fermento di vitalità per Milano che nei decenni passati si era congelata e addormentata.
I quartieri rinascono ed evolvono.
